4. THE SCORING SYSTEM

The points are only determined after both teams/players have thrown
all eight bags, as the own player or the opponent can intentionally or
unintentionally push bags that have already been placed through the hole with
a throw and thus also change the score. The points are assigned to the player
or team by the colours of the bags and added up at the end of each round.
However, only the difference of the throws scored by both teams/players is
included in the score of the set (see also in the scoring example below).
I. Bags that fall through the hole directly or indirectly through other
thrown bags count as 3 points.
II. Bags left on the board score 1 point each.
III. Bags that do not stay on the board or still touch the ground score
0 points. It does not matter if the bags do not hit the board during the
throw or are pushed off the board by another bag.
IV. Invalid throws will also be scored 0 points and must be immediately
removed from the board after the throw.
A throw is invalid as soon as the bag has come into contact with
the ground before contact with the board or if the boundaries of
the throwing zone have been disregarded intentionally or even
unintentionally.
An example:
Player A hits twice through the hole and throws twice next to the board. This results
in 6 points. Player B, however, hits the board only once and misses three times. Only
1 point was scored. Thus player A has won the round and can collect 5 points, as the
difference of the points scored in each case, for the set. Player A also gets to start
throwing the next 4 bags in the next round.
