Operation and use
1. Prior first usage - soak your pH meter in tap water for 12 hours.
2. Remove the protective cover.
3. Gently clean the electrode with distilled water and dry it off.
4. Press the On/off button to start the meter.
5. Insert the meter upright into the solution up to the edge and stir
gently. Wait a few seconds for the correct value to appear on the
display.
6. Press the C/F button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
7. Rinse the electrode with water after use and press the On/off
button to turn off the meter.
We recommend storing the meter in an upright position with KCI storage
solution in the protective cover.
Calibrating the pH meter
1. Press the On/off button to start the meter.
2. Gently clean the electrode with distilled water and dry it off.
3. Insert the meter in an upright position in pH buffer solution pH 7.01
(make sure this is 25 oC) and stir gently.
4. Wait until the value on the display is stable.
5. Press and hold the CAL button for 5 seconds. Then release the
button. The value pH 7.0 will now blink on the display. As soon as the
meter switches back to the standard mode, calibration is complete.
6. Gently clean the electrode with distilled water and dry it off.
7. Repeat the process with pH 4.01 buffer solution.
8. Gently clean the meter before storing it.
When is calibration required?

If the electrode has been replaced.
•
If the meter was last calibrated over a month ago.
•
If the meter is used on a regular basis.
•
If high precision is needed.
