This five piece separator set with fork jaw sizes of approx. 17.4 mm – 23.8 mm – 28.5 mm and
manufactured from forged carbon steel allows the disassembly of ball joints and has been designed
for manual and air hammer use.
Safety advice
Always wear gloves and safety goggles when working with this separator set.
Parts of the working piece might be chipped off, fly around and cause injuries.
Keep the safety advice for using an air hammer in mind when using this separator
set in combination with an air hammer.
Instruction
1. Chose suitable adaptor: adaptor 1 is for manual
disassembly, adaptor 2 for combined use with an air
hammer.
2. Chose suitable fork type: fork type size has to be
chosen in accordance with the ball joint size.
(no 3 =17.4 mm – no 4 = 23.8 mm – no 5 = 28.5 mm)
3. Attach separator in between ball joint and swivel
bearing and drive the ball joint out of cone by using a
hammer/air hammer.
