Starting Up
4.1 Starting up Vertical Clamping
Please check if the seal is set correctly in the groove before each starting up of the vacuum
suction. Connect the included hose with the mounted gate valve to the vacuum suction respec-
tively to your compressed air supply. Close the gate valve. (see Fig1) (red tool holder closed,
green tool holder open.)
With horizontal clamping both blocking valves (Fig 1) (Fig 5) (A) are set to OPEN (vertical).
Now the vacuum suction can be placed. Now open the gate valve (position GREEN). Now the
compressed air creates a vacuum on the undersurface and upper surface. Now the work piece
can be placed on the upper side of the suction plate.
The necessary negative pressure is reached, if the Manometer (Fig 6.) between „-0.6 and
-0.7 bar „indicates.
Comment:
Should the background not give enough adhesion during horizontal suction operation
he vacuum suction can be fi xed with bar clamps. Do not forget to close the lower block-
ing valve. (see Fig.4)
4.2 Starting up Horizontal Clamping
Please check if the seal is set correctly in the groove before each starting up of the vacuum
suction. Mount the vacuum suction with 2 bar clamps to a stable support (as in Fig 2). Close
the blocking valve (Fig 2) (A). Now open the gate valve (position GREEN). The compressed
air will create a vacuum on the forefront. Now the work piece can be placed on this side of the
suction plate.
Make sure the valve of the not used suction plate is closed.
