Objective:

The hidden handles and pull loops of the turn sheet facilitate positioning and all movements required.
The turn sheet and the fastening straps or anti-slip mat provided can be attached to the head of the
bed or laterally.
The concept does not involve any prescribed care techniques or methods to be used, irrespective of
the patient; it makes provision for individual options.
The turn sheet with its hidden handles is a very versatile device. We recommend that it be used in
combination with a fitted sheet.
Applications: turn sheet with hidden handles and fitted sheet
When using the turn sheet with hidden handles in combination with the fitted turn sheet, the following
components are used:
1. Upper sheet with 3 belt loops at the head and 12 covered straps
2. Fitted sheet with silk and anti-slip safety strips
3. Anti-slip mat and fastening straps to help with attachment
and positioning
The fitted turn sheet is used to cover the mattress like a fitted sheet and
is then fixed to the sides of the mattress with pull cords. The smooth
surface of the fitted sheet is made of particularly low-friction silk. The
combination of the silky layers of the turn sheet and the fitted sheet
reduce friction to a minimum - the effect is that of a sliding mat.
The turn sheet is placed directly onto the fitted sheet. An additional sheet and incontinence protection
can then be placed onto the upper sheet as required. Patients can be transferred and bedded as
mentioned above.
As the turn sheet is made of breathable fabric, it can remain permanently on the bed. The additional
fastening straps can be used to attach the top of the sheet to the head of the bed, using the clip lock,
to prevent the sheet from slipping down when the head of the bed is upright. An anti-slip safety strip
has been incorporated into both sides of the sliding surface of the fitted sheet. The safety strips
prevent the upper blanket from slipping off when under load and facilitate all transfers into and out of
bed. By inserting the anti-slip mat between the upper and lower sliding surfaces, slipping is prevented
in this area.
This product is suitable for re-use.

3. Maintenance / Care

The product does not require any special maintenance. It can be washed in a washing machine at
90° C and is suitable for low dryer temperatures (4 5 – 50° C). When using non-standard washing
agents, bleaching agents, softener or other chemical washing additives, the functional properties of
the product can strongly degrade. Make sure that there is always enough ventilation between both
sliding levels (danger of mould and humidity formation). The robust material can be disinfected with
the usual wipe disinfectants. Check the compatibility before use where required on the basis of the
disinfectant's instructions. We recommend the use of alcohol- and aldehyde-free agents, e.g. Trionic®.
