Functional testing

To check that the PICO-K9-SPOT is working properly, proceed as
follows (see Fig. 1):
1. Turn the safety rotary switch (1) to position 2·· (training mode)
and press the button (2) at the rear end of the laser once. The
green laser point must light up and flash at a frequency of
8 Hz. Please do not beam yourself, other people or animals
directly into the eyes; use a wall or the floor instead.
2. Turn the safety rotary switch further to position 2- (training
mode) and press the button (2) at the rear end of the laser
once. The green laser dot must now light up permanently.
3. Turn the safety rotary switch back to the OFF position.
Note: For the following steps, please note the legal and labor
law requirements for operating laser class 3B products in your
respective area of application.
4. Pull the locking lever (3) back, turn the safety rotary switch (1)
to position 3·· (operation mode) and press the button (2) at
the rear end of the laser once. The green laser dot must now
shine significantly brighter and flash at a frequency of 8 Hz.
Pressing the button again turns the laser off.
5. Pull the locking lever back, turn the safety rotary switch (1) to
position 3- (operation mode) and press the button (2) at the rear
end of the laser once. The green laser dot must now shine clearly
and permanently. Pressing the button again turns the laser off.
