Introduction
Congratulations with your purchase of the Ultimate Angling Predator 24V package, specially
developed for use with 24V electric outboards in Predator angling boats. The content of your
package is as follows:
1x 24V50 Angling li-on battery (1,25 kWh) + 29.4V12A li-ion battery charger + optional
accessories.

Safety precautions and warnings

Your Rebelcell Angling 24V50 li-ion battery (hereafter battery) has been engineered with a safe
and long user life in mind. It is important to thoroughly review this instruction and follow the safety
precautions. Not doing so may invalidate the warranty and result in the malfunctioning of your
battery and further damage.
The operating voltage of your battery is 25.2V (bandwidth 21V-29.4V). Please ensure before
use that the equipment you want to connect (e.g. e-motor, fishfinder etc.) is suitable! Damage
to your equipment by incorrect use is explicitly excluded from the warranty.
Avoid direct contact of your hands with both battery terminals; danger of electric shock!
Avoid reversing the + and – battery terminals when connecting the battery. This can lead to
irreversible damage to your battery!
Only use isolated tools when installing your battery. And keep metal objects, such as jewelry,
away from the battery.
Your battery is 'waterproof' according to the IP54 norm. However, it is recommended to not
place your battery in a wet area. To avoid issues we recommend placing the battery in a
waterproof battery container and/or place on a slightly elevated place to ensure that the
battery is never partly or fully in the water on the bottom of a dinghy. Water damage is
explicitly excluded from the warranty.
Fix your on a vibration free surface to ensure that sliding is impossible.
When used outside the permitted standards (e.g. high temperature, high load) your battery will
automatically turn off. No power will available till the battery can operate within standards.
Avoid damaging the battery for instance by dropping it. In case of external damage do not use
your battery but have Rebelcell check for proper and safe operation.
Place the battery in the coolest environment possible. Do not expose the battery to sources of
direct heat such as (open) fire, heating or exposure to direct sunlight for extended periods of
time.
The battery is classified as dangerous goods for transportation purposes (ADR Class 9).
Review the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) on our website for more information.
Your battery may only be opened by Rebelcell for repairs.

Installation and Use

The battery can handle a continuous load of 50A and 75A peak for 10 seconds. Exceeding
these limits will switch the battery off.
Your battery is equipped with screw battery terminal in size M8. Make sure if you connect your
electric outboard or other device to the battery to use M8 tongue connectors.
It is possible to connect two batteries together in parallel for higher capacity (e.g. 2 x parallel
24V50Ah = 24V100Ah). Make sure to use cabling of sufficient thickness! When connecting
batteries in parallel it is important that all batteries are exactly the same type, of the same age
and have the same charging status.
Long-term use in high temperatures (> 40 ° C) has a negative influence on service life. At a
temperature of 55 ° C, the battery will shut itself down until a normal operating temperature is
reached.
