Sensor fault: If the gas sensor has become defective,
the yellow LED (3) shines and an alarm signal of
3 notes sounds every 1.5 seconds.
Never place the gas sensor directly into a strong gas
current. This can damage the sensor.
If the device detects gas, see chapter "Behaviour in
Case of Gas Alarm".
Notes:
After switching off the device, wait for 60 seconds for
the next measurement. Then the device can accurately
calibrate if you follow this.
Due to the high sensitivity of the detector, a false alarm
due to other gaseous materials such as aerosols (hair
sprays, propellant gas, cigarette smoke etc.), can not be
excluded.

Testing the Device

You can use a gas lighter to test the device. Get the gas
sensor close to the lighter and let some gas stream out
of the lighter. Carefully depress the trigger of the lighter
without igniting a flame.
If the unit is operating correctly, the low alarm stage or
the high alarm stage is triggered.
If this does not happen, the batteries are low or the
device is defective.
