≥ If the video input with the interface other than IEEE1394 interface is output with
IEEE1394 interface,
• Regular signal will not be output except when in recording.
• Be aware of gaps between the time code and the video.
≥ Audio and video played at speeds other than single speed becomes non-compliant
with the IEEE1394 interface audio and video signals. When these audio and video
signals are monitored by other equipment, they might be considered different than
IEEE1394 signals.
≥ When the playlist playback output from the IEEE1394 interface is being monitored by
recording equipment, the first 1 second from the beginning of the playback will not be
recorded.
≥ When rendering data is taken from non-linear editing equipment, the output monitor
may temporarily display a white line on the upper and lower part of the display, this
does not effect recording.
≥ Be absolutely sure to bear the following points in mind when connecting the IEEE1394
cable.
1. Ensure that the unit and all of the connected devices are each grounded (or
connected to a common ground) before use.
If it is not possible to ground the unit and devices, turn off the power of the unit and
of all the connected devices before connecting or disconnecting the IEEE1394
cable.
2. When the unit is to be connected to a device equipped with a 4-pin type of
connector, connect the unit's connector (6-pin type) first.
3. When connecting the unit with a PC equipped with a 6-pin type of connector,
connect the 1394 cable as dictated by the shapes of the 1394 connectors. Bear in
mind that inserting a plug the wrong way round may damage the unit.
