WARNING: In nitrox use, the maximum operating depth and exposure time are
dependent on the oxygen content of the gas.
WARNING: If used for nitrox diving, the Suunto device should be for exclusive
use with nitrox or oxygen and kept clean any time for oxygen use.
WARNING: If the Tank POD is exposed to oil-contaminated breathing gas,
contaminated parts have to be re-cleaned by a competent person.
WARNING: The use of breathable air according to EN 12021 may contaminate
the apparatus. Do not use the device with nitrox or oxygen before it has been
cleaned for oxygen service by a competent person.
WARNING: There is a danger when using nitrox that contaminants may give rise
to oxygen ignition.
NOTE: Open the plastic bag only when the Tank POD is ready to use. This way
the possible contamination is minimized.
NOTE: Suunto recommends that Tank POD used with gases with oxygen
content greater than 22% is exclusive for nitrox use only and should not be used
with air.
NOTE: If Tank POD is used with gases with oxygen content greater than 22%, it
needs to be kept clean and avoid any kind of contamination which may give rise to
an oxygen ignition during the use, handling and storage.
NOTE: To minimize the risk of oxygen ignition, pressure vessel valve(s) should
always be opened slowly.
NOTE: If you are using additional high pressure accessories connected to
the Tank POD and you are using nitrox breathing gas mixtures (with oxygen
content greater than 22%), make sure they are approved for this purpose and are
compliant to EN 250 and EN 13949. Suunto official high pressure hose accessories
are tested according to EN 250 and EN 13949 standards.

4 TECHNICAL INFORMATION

4.1 Operating Conditions

• Maximum depth of operation: 150 m (492 ft) (complying with EN 13319)
• Operating temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F)
NOTE: Diving in freezing conditions may damage the dive computer. Make
sure the device is not getting frozen when wet.
• Storage temperature: -20 °C to +50 °C (-4 °F to +122 °F)
NOTE: Store in a dry place at room temperature.
WARNING: Do not expose the device to temperatures above or below the given
limits, otherwise it might get damaged or you might be exposed to safety risk.
4.2 Pressure Measurements
• Rated working pressure: 300 bar / 4351 psi
• Max. allowed pressure: 400 bar / 5800 psi
4.3 Battery
• Type: 3.6 V 1/2 AA Primary lithium-thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2)
NOTE: Low temperature or an internal oxidation of the battery may activate
the battery warning even though the battery has enough capacity. In this
case, the warning usually disappears when the dive mode is activated again.
NOTE: Do not try to replace the battery by yourself! It should always be
replaced by an authorized Suunto Service Center.
