4. Use of the LiFePO4 battery

4.1. Charging

• LiFePO4 batteries do not need to be recharged after each use, leaving them in a partially
charged state is not harmful to the battery
• The battery can be charged with high charging current to shorten the charging time, max.
charging current per battery, see data sheet
• If the BMS disconnects the battery due to low voltage to protect against deep discharge, the
battery should be recharged as soon as possible. Otherwise, the cells could be permanently
damaged.
• LiFePO4 batteries can be safely charged in the temperature range 0°C - 55°C.
• Charge with any IU charger that does not exceed a final charge voltage of 14.6V or with a
charger with LiFePO4 characteristics.
• The BMS switches off the battery if it gets too hot. If the temperature drops, it automatically
switches the battery back on.
• The balancing of the cells is done automatically during charging or during a standby phase,
if necessary.

4.2. Discharge

• Discharge up to 100% of capacity is possible, recommended discharge is max. 90%.
• Safe discharging in the temperature range -20°C to 60°C.
• The BMS switches the battery off if it becomes too hot. If the temperature drops, it switches
the battery back on automatically.

4.3. Using the Bluetooth App

Bluetooth communication is already built into your AG POWER LITHIUM LiFePO4 battery. You can
