Ensure that the contacts of the Depth Gauge array face supe-
riorly, toward the modiolus. The orientation (superiorly) of the
contacts indicates the direction that the array will 'curl' when it
is inserted into the cochlea. It is essential that the contacts of the
Depth Gauge be positioned correctly in relation to the modiolus.

Insert the Depth Gauge into the cochlea. Continue to advance
the Depth Gauge, while holding the 'wing' feature. When the blue
marker is positioned at the cochleostomy, full insertion has been
achieved.
Remove the Depth Gauge prior to electrode insertion.
Recommended Storage Conditions
The Depth Gauge should be stored between 0 and 50 °C.
