Extendible laptop combination lock

Intended use
This combination lock allows a laptop with a security slot to be securely attached to any lo-
cation. In order to protect your laptop or other electronic devices from theft, the 2.1 m long
cable can simply be placed around chairs, shelves, etc. The combination lock can be locked or
opened with the help of a four-digit combination of numbers. There are ten thousand possible
combinations.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture (e.g.
in a bathroom) must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product
for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, impro-
per use may create safety hazards. Read the operating instructions carefully and store them
in a safe place. Only make this product available to third parties together with its operating
instructions.

Read the operating instructions and safety information carefully. If you do not

rating instructions, we will assume no liability for any resulting personal inju-

a) General information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dange-
rous plaything for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorised use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may
damage the product.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if
you have concerns about safety.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be carried out by a technician or a
specialist repair centre.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical customer service or other professionals.
b) Connected devices
• Always observe the safety information and operating instructions of any other de-
vices which are connected to the product.
Operation
• Select an object in the room to which you want to secure the
laptop with the combination lock.
• Choose a large, heavy piece of furniture, such as a table,
desk, or non-moving object.
• Loop the end with the cable loop around the selected object.
Place the cable around a part of the object that prevents a
potential thief from simply pulling the cable off (e.g. a table or
desk with a crossbar or a drawer handle, etc.).
• Press and hold button A and insert the lock element into the
lock opening of your laptop.
• Then, turn the lock 90° clockwise.
• Now, release button A and adjust the opening combination by
turning the number wheels.
• To open, set your current opening combination by turning the
number wheels.
• Press button A and turn the lock 90° anticlockwise to open
the lock.
1. The combination is preset to „0000" at the factory.
2. Hold the lock and press the cable end (B) toward it while si-
multaneously turning it clockwise to engage. Now select a new
combination by turning the number wheels.
3. After adjusting, turn the end of the cable counterclockwise to
release. Press button A. The new combination is now perma-
nently set.
Don't forget the combination! Otherwise, you will not be able to open the lock again.
Care and cleaning
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these
may damage the enclosure or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to environmental protection.
