Fitting
Fitting Protective Equipment
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
u
work on the power tool.
Do not operate your power tool without the auxiliary
u
handle (7) or bow handle (2).
Side handle
Screw the side handle (7) on the left or right of the machine
head depending on how your are working.
Bow handle
Attach the bow handle (2) to the machine head as shown in
the figure.
Fitting the abrasive tools
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
u
work on the power tool.
Clean the grinding spindle (6) and all parts to be mounted.
Lock the grinding spindle with the spindle lock button (3)
before clamping and releasing the abrasive tools.
Do not press the spindle lock button while the grind-
u
ing spindle is moving. The power tool may become dam-
aged if you do this.

Buffing wheel
Firmly screw the clamping bolt (8) onto the grinding
spindle (6) and tighten it with an open-ended spanner at the
spanner flat. Slide the clamping flange (9) and the buffing
wheel (10) onto the clamping bolt (8). Screw on the clamp-
ing nut (11) and tighten it with the two-pin spanner.
Polishing disc
Slide the two spacer discs (12) and the polishing disc (13)
onto the grinding spindle (6). Screw on the round nut (14)
and tighten it with the two-pin spanner. Pull the lambswool
bonnet (15) over the polishing disc (13) and tighten the
fastening cords.
Polishing sponge
Firmly screw the polishing sponge (16) onto the grinding
spindle (6). The lambswool bonnet (17) can be pulled over
the polishing sponge (16).
Rubber sanding pad
Slide the rubber sanding pad (18) onto the grinding spindle
(6).
Screw on the round nut (14) and tighten with the two-pin
spanner.
Press the sanding sheet (19) firmly onto the underside of
the rubber sanding pad (18).
Felt polishing disc
Firmly screw the felt polishing disc (20) onto the grinding
spindle (6).

Cup brush/disc brush
The cup brush/disc brush must be screwed onto the grinding
spindle until it rests firmly against the grinding spindle flange
at the end of the grinding spindle thread. Tighten the cup
brush/disc brush with an open-ended spanner.
Approved abrasive tools
You can use all the abrasive tools mentioned in these operat-
ing instructions.

The permissible speed [min
] or the circumferential speed
[m/s] of the abrasive tools used must at least match the val-
ues given in the table.
It is therefore important to observe the permissible rota-
tional/circumferential speed on the label of the abrasive
tool.

Dust/Chip Extraction

Dust from materials such as lead-containing coatings, some
wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful to one's
health. Touching or breathing-in the dust can cause allergic
reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of the user or
bystanders.
Certain dust, such as oak or beech dust, is considered carci-
nogenic, especially in connection with wood-treatment ad-
ditives (chromate, wood preservative). Materials containing
asbestos may only be worked by specialists.
– Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the ma-
terials to be worked.
Avoid dust accumulation at the workplace. Dust can

easily ignite.
Operation
Start-Up
Pay attention to the mains voltage. The voltage of the
u
power source must match the voltage specified on the
rating plate of the power tool. Power tools marked
with 230 V can also be operated with 220 V.
Products that are only sold in AUS and NZ: Use a resid-
u
ual current device (RCD) with a nominal residual current
of 30 mA or less.
When operating the power tool using a mobile generator that
does not have sufficient reserve capacity or an adequate
