Mounting the bracket on the bicycle
www.conrad.com
The bracket (1) must be attached to a suitable place of the bicycle frame so that the aperture of the
bracket points upwards and thus the bicycle alarm is fitted securely. Furthermore, pay attention that
the cable does not disturb you when turning the pedals and that neither the bracket nor the bicycle

alarm constrain the functioning of the brake.
°
Do not apply force when fastening the two screws; however, make sure the bracket is mounted tightly
so that it cannot loosen. An inserted rubber prevents the bracket from twisting or shifting.
Activating the bicycle alarm
• Open the yellow covering cap (6) and put the key into the lock (5).
• Open the lock by turning the key to the right and remove the plug (3) from the base (4) of the bicycle
alarm; lay the anti-theft steel cable (2) e. g. around a part of the bicycles's frame, through the back
wheel rim and around a solid object e.g. a steel pipe (lamp post or the similar).
• Then attach the plug (3) to the base (4) on the bicycle alarm again, until an alarm signal can be
heard.
• Remove the key and replace the yellow covering cap.
• Press the yellow „SET" key; you then will hear 3 beeps. After 15 seconds the bicycle alarm will be
activated - the alarm is now activated and reacts to movements.
Alarm Function
When the bicycle or the bicycle alarm is moved a short distance, 3 warning tones can be heard.
However, if the motion continues within the next 5 seconds, the alarm siren will be triggered (alarm peri-
od approx. 20 seconds), the LED flashes.
After that, the alarm siren is deactivated. If the bicycle alarm still detects a motion within the next
5 seconds, the alarm will be activated again.
If the anti-theft steel cable is cut, the alarm siren is triggered for 30 seconds; this also happens if the
bicycle alarm is not activated.
Deactivating the bicycle alarm
• Open the yellow covering cap (6) and put the key into the lock (5).
• Release the lock by turning the key to the right and pull the plug (3) from the base (4) on the bicycle
alarm. The alarm is now deactivated.
• Pull the steel cable back through frame/rim and put the plug (3) back in the base (4) of the bicycle
alarm, remove the key and then attach the yellow covering cap (6) to protect the lock from humidity
or dirt.
