(11) DC Offset
Adjust the DC level of the output wave, variable up to ± 10 V maximum into open circuit or ± 5 V into 50 Ω
load.
(12) Amplitude
Adjusts the output amplitude of the signal. 20 V p-p (10 Vp-p into 50 Ω load) maximum at "Func Out"
terminal.
(13) Ext Freq.
When the Ext Freq key is pressed, the display will show "EXT" and the unit is able to be used as an auto-
ranging frequency counter. An external continuous signal up to 250 V/100 MHz may be input to to the
"Ext Freq In" connector terminal
(14) Sub Func.
Press the Sub Func key to enter subfunction parameters (symmetry, VCG In, DC Offset, Sweep [Lin/Log]
and inverted pulse). Then use the scroll keys to select the parameter (LCD will display either "off" or "on").
After the selection of a parameter, press the "Sub Func" key again to enter next parameter. Press the
"Mode/Func" key to exit.
(15) Scroll Keys
Scroll left or right to select one of the parameters in specified function.
(16) Range/Attn.
Toggle the switch to select either frequency or attenuation. Then use scroll keys to select one of several
frequency ranges or one of three attenuation lavels.
(17) Freq/Per.
Toggle the switch to select either frequency or period to view on the LCD display.
(18) Reset
Restarts the unit to initial condition. Default settings are continuous sine wave.
(19) Mode/Func
Toggle the switch to select either "Mode" or "Func". Each time the Mode/Func key is pressed, the direction
of the triangle/cursor will change. If the right triangle/cursor appears on the display, use the scroll keys to
select one of four signals (Sine, square, triangle, DC). When the left triangle/cursor appears, use the scroll
keys to select mode (CONT, TRIG, GATE, CLOCK).
(20) LCD display
The LCD display is a 16 character x 2 line LCD. It serves as a 6 ½ digit frequency counter and a 4 digit
resolution for the function generator.
Rear Panel
On the backside of this unit you find:
* Ventilation-Area for Function Generator. Do not cover the verntilation area under all circumstances
by cloth, etc.). The result could be heat jam and distruction of the unit.
* AC Receptable, Power Input.
* Power Selector selects suitable voltage for power input (110/220 V).
