Field of application:

The PRCD-K + is an all-pole switching portable RCD circuit breaker with electronic fault
evaluation for use in IT-systems (e.g. emergency power generator, isolating transformer)
to enable persons and electrical equipment to safely draw current from a feed point.
Note: The continuity of the protective earth circuit is not given due to varistors. Only
protective equipotential bonding is possible.
The PRCD-K + can be used as a portable residual current circuit device with a rated
differential current of IΔn ≤ 30 mA for sinusoidal AC residual currents and pulsating
DC residual currents.
The PRCD-K + must not be used for:
• Cooling appliances or similar applications, e.g. refrigerators
• Machines with high starting currents
• TN- and TT-systems
Connection cable types have to be carried out according to the national
legal standards and regulations of the user country. The PRCD-K + must
be subjected to regularly recurring inspections in accordance with the
national statutory regulations and the regulations in the country of use,
e.g. DIN VDE 0701-0702.
