5. CARE, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

5.1 CARE

Please clean your roller shutter at least once per year and only when it is fully extended.
Never hold on to the slats or the shutter, but use secure mounting aids (such as ladders).
NOTE:
■ Always disconnect from power supply by taking fuse out or switching power off, before
working on the system (maintenance, cleaning).
■ Never use a pressure cleaner. The surface of the slats might be affected by the pressure
and heat.
■ Watch out for protruding edges (especially when cleaning the window sill below the
guiding rails).
■ Remove dust with a soft brush.
■ Always remove pollen deposits immediately.
■ Only use mild, standard household cleaner and rinse off the residue with clear water.
■ Do not use abrasive cleaners, scrubbing sponges or solvents (like e.g. alcohol, petrol).

5.2 MAINTENANCE

■ Check the operating elements regularly for wear and tear and damage and check the
product for stability.
■ Arrange for specialists to exchange possible damaged elements in due time.
■ Do not operate roller shutters, if repair is necessary.
■ Only use specialists to carry out repairs.
■ Only use original spare parts.

6. UNINSTALLATION AND DISPOSAL

NOTE:
■ if e.g. the belt tears, the roller shutter can move up and down uncontrollable and can get
damaged.
■ Maintenance work such as adjusting the end positions can only be carried out by trained
expert personnel.

5.3 REPAIR

Only use original spare parts when exchanging worn out or defected parts. Third-party
products cannot guarantee to be manufactured and constructed in line with subsequent
conditions and according to safety guidelines.

6. UNINSTALLATION AND DISPOSAL
CAUTION:
Danger to people or property through incorrect uninstalling.
Only arrange for specialist to carry out uninstallations!
Uninstallation and new installation of the product must be carried out by a specialist accor-
ding to the current guidelines and standards. Missing documentation needs to be requested
from the manufacturer in all cases before uninstallation or new installation.
Dispose of the possibly unserviceable product according to the valid legal requirements.
