4.1 MANUAL OPERATION

Belt mechanism (also cord)
When opening, operate the belt slowly during the last third. The roller shutter should not
forcefully bang against the top. When closing, operate the belt slowly during the last third.
Never let go of the belt.
NOTE: Avoid any jerky movement of the belt.
Pull belt always evenly and vertically down or out of the belt winder housing.
NOTE: Sideways deflection of the belt leads to excessive wear and tear.
This can cause warping of the belt which can lead to malfunctions.
CAUTION: DAMAGE TO PRODUCT
Belt is automatically wound up in belt winder.
Loosen belt towards the top, never let go.
Crank (hand crank)
Before opening completely, slow down turning movement of crank. Roller shutter should not
forcefully bang against the top. Before closing completely, slow down turning movement of
crank. As soon as you can feel resistance, do not carry on turning. Turn crank clockwise for
opening (raising) of shutter, turn crank anti-clockwise for closing (lowering) of shutter.
NOTE: Avoid too much deflection of the crank rod. This leads to stiffness and excessive wear
and tear.
CAUTION: DAMAGE TO PRODUCT
Do not force crank to carry on when roller shutter is completely opened. Do not
carry on turning crank downwards as soon as you can feel resistance.

4.2 OPERATION WITH ELECTRO MOTOR

Always disconnect power supply by taking fuse out or switching off electricity
when working on the system (maintenance, cleaning).
Work on electric systems and connections on a 230V power supply may only be
carried out by trained electro personnel.
Keep children away from controls and remote controls.
Do not reach into the shutter or the inside of the box during operation. if necessary
disconnect system/automatic from power supply.
Operation with turn switches or push buttons
The roller shutter moves into the desired direction by pressing and holding of the relevant
switch (UP/DOWN) or by turning and holding of the switching knob (LEFT/ RIGHT).
NOTE: By releasing the switch or switching knob, the roller shutter stops.
Operation with stop switches
The roller shutter moves into the desired direction by pressing the relevant button
(UP/DOWN) or by turning the switching knob (LEFT/RIGHT).
NOTE: By pressing the stop button or the button for the opposite direction (depending on
switch version) or by turning the switching know back, the roller shutter stops.
Special conditions
For applications with special conditions concerning use or place, (e.g. nurseries, facilities for
disabled people) the buyer and the manufacturer need to come to an arrangement.
