Provisionally capture the femur with the bone hook (5). Slide the ball of
the bone hook into the vertical ratcheting mechanism (6).

With the bent locking arm of the vertical ratcheting mechanism in
the unlocked position, snap clamp onto the outrigger bar and lock by
engaging the bent handle (7).

The vertical ratcheting mechanism may be ratcheted mechanically
using the paddle, or by simply pulling up on the small t-handle (8).
