ELA-Mischverstärker
Die folgenden Hinweise richten sich an Benut-
zer mit Kenntnissen in der Dateiverwaltung
von Computern. Bitte lesen Sie die Hinweise
gründlich durch und heben Sie sie für ein spä-
teres Nachlesen auf.
1 Signaltöne austauschen
Die Signaltöne, die durch Drücken der Tasten SIREN,
FOG und CHIME abgespielt werden, sind im Ver-
stärker als MP3-Dateien gespeichert und lassen sich
ganz einfach per „Drag and Drop" austauschen:
1) Den PA-888D ausschalten und ihn über seinen
USB-Anschluss auf der Frontseite an einen PC
anschließen.
2) Den Speicher des Verstärkers öffnen (wird auf
dem PC z. B. als „Wechseldatenträger (E)" an-
gezeigt). Die dort vorhandenen MP3-Dateien
sind den Tasten wie folgt zugeordnet:

Die gewünschten neuen Dateien müssen ge-
nauso benannt werden, damit sie beim Drücken
der entsprechenden Taste abgespielt werden.
Die vorhandenen Dateien ggf. umbenennen,
damit sie nicht überschrieben werden oder z. B.
auf dem PC speichern.
3) Die neuen MP3-Dateien in den Speicher des
PA-888D kopieren.
PA Mixing Amplifier
The following notes are intended for users
with knowledge in file management on com-
puters. Please read the notes carefully and
keep them for later reference.
1 Replacing Signal Sounds
The signal sounds reproduced when the buttons
SIREN, FOG and CHIME are pressed are stored as
MP3 files in the amplifier. They can be easily re-
placed by means of "drag & drop":
1) Switch off the amplifier PA-888D; then use
the USB port on the front side to connect the
PA-888D to a PC.
2) Open the storage of the amplifier (is indicated
on the PC as "Removable disk (E)", for exam-
ple). The MP3 files available in the storage of the
amplifier are assigned to the buttons as follows:

Assign the above names to the new files you
want to use; otherwise, the files will not be
reproduced when the corresponding button is
pressed. If required, rename the existing files so
that they will not be overwritten, or save them
on the PC, for example.
3) Copy the new MP3 files to the storage of the
PA-888D.

4) Den PA-888D vom PC trennen und wieder ein-
schalten.
Hinweis: Die Größe des Speichers im PA-888D beträgt
4 MB. Darum darf die Größe der Signalton- Dateien
zusammen 4 MB nicht überschreiten. Berücksichtigen
Sie diese Größe bei der Erstellung oder Auswahl der
Dateien.
2 Tasten für die Signaltöne konfigurieren
Die Datei „config.txt" im Speicher des PA-888D
bestimmt die Funktion der Signaltontasten und
lässt sich mit dem Text-Editor oder einem anderen
Textprogramm ändern:
1) Den PA-888D ausschalten und ihn über seinen
USB-Anschluss auf der Frontseite an einen PC
anschließen.
2) Den Speicher des PA-888D öffnen und die dort
vorhandenen Datei „config.txt" öffnen. Ab
Werk hat die Datei folgenden Inhalt:

Nach dem Einschalten des Verstärkers wird
keine Datei automatisch abgespielt.
4) Disconnect the PA-888D from the PC; then
switch on the PA-888D.
Note: The size of the storage in the PA-888D is 4 MB.
Therefore, the total size of all signal sound files must
not exceed 4 MB. Take this restriction into account
when creating or selecting the files.
2 Configuring Buttons
for the Signal Sounds
The file "config.txt" in the storage of the PA-888D
defines the function of the signal sound buttons
and can be changed by means of a text editor:
1) Switch off the amplifier PA-888D; then use
the USB port on the front side to connect the
PA-888D to a PC.
2) Open the storage of the PA-888D; then open
the file "config.txt" in the storage. The factory -
set contents of the file are as follows:

Line 1: MODE=0
No file will be automatically reproduced when
the amplifier is switched on.
When you change the line to MODE=1, all files
will be automatically reproduced once.

Durch Ändern der Zeile auf MODE=1 werden
alle Dateien einmal automatisch abgespielt.
2., 3. und 4. Zeile IO1, IO2 und IO3
Einstellung Tastenfunktion
MODE=00 Die Datei wird einmal komplett abgespielt.
Durch Drücken während des Abspielens
wird sie erneut gestartet.
MODE=01 Die Datei wird einmal komplett abgespielt.
Das Abspielen kann nicht unterbrochen
werden.
MODE=02 Die Datei wird nur so lange abgespielt,
wie die Taste gedrückt wird.
MODE=03 Mit der Taste wird die vorherige Datei
gestartet, auch während des Abspielens
einer Datei.
MODE=04 Mit der Taste wird die nächste Datei
gestartet, auch während des Abspielens
einer Datei.
MODE=05 Die Datei wird einmal komplett abgespielt,
das Abspielen lässt sich aber mit der Taste
stoppen.
MODE=06 Die Datei wird einmal komplett abgespielt,
das Abspielen lässt sich aber mit der Taste
unterbrechen und wieder fortführen.
3) Bei Bedarf die letzte Ziffer in den ersten vier
Zeilen der Datei „config.txt" ändern und die
Datei speichern.
4) Den PA-888D vom PC trennen und wieder ein-
schalten.
Änderungen vorbehalten.
Lines 2, 3 and 4: IO1, IO2 and IO3

When the button is pressed during repro-
duction, the file will be started again.
MODE=01 The complete file is reproduced once. The
reproduction cannot be paused.
MODE=02 The file will be reproduced as long as the
button is pressed.
MODE=03 When the button is pressed, the previous
file will be started even when a file is
being reproduced.
MODE=04 When the button is pressed, the next file
will be started even when a file is being
reproduced.
MODE=05 The complete file is reproduced once;
the reproduction can be stopped with
the button.
MODE=06 The complete file is reproduced once;
the reproduction can be paused and
continued with the button.
3) If required, change the last digit in the first four
lines of the file "config.txt" and then save the
file.
4) Disconnect the PA-888D from the PC; then
switch on the PA-888D.
