In normal monitoring mode, the batteries will function for up to 5 years. How-
ever, if the 'low battery' warning is activated there may be a problem and the
batteries should be replaced as soon as possible.

Manual Zeroing

Under normal operation where no CO gas is present, and the LCD screen does
not show '0 ppm' , press and hold the TEST button for 3 seconds until the 'ppm'
symbol on the screen disappears, then release the TEST button and the LCD
screen should revert to showing '0 ppm' .
Notes
Manual zeroing can only be carried out under following two conditions:
• The CO concentration showing on the LCD screen is lower than 10 ppm
• The first digit on the screen is '-'
Fault Signal Warning
The unit will self-test the amplifying circuit and sensor every 10 seconds. If there
is problem with the amplifying circuit or sensor, the unit will beep every 30 sec-
onds, the LED will flash yellow and the LCD screen will show '- - -' .
End-of-Life Warning
When the product reaches the end of its operating life, it will beep an alarm every
60 seconds and the yellow LED will flash.

Calibrating
The unit comes pre-calibrated and re-calibration can only be carried out by pro-
fessionals.
1. The calibration is carried out using a reference CO gas concentration of 400
ppm,
2. Press and hold the TEST button until all 3 LEDS are on, then release the TEST
button.
3. The green and yellow LEDS will turn off, leaving only the red LED illuminated.
The alarm will enter calibrating mode.
4. The unit takes about 5 minutes to calibrate.
5. If the unit does detect any change in the CO concentration within 5 minutes, it
will automatically exit calibration mode.
6. After calibrating, the 3 LEDS will flash 3 times simultaneously to indicate that
the calibration was successful.
Notes
• The unit uses a minimum CO concentration for calibrating of 250 ppm. If the
calibration is carried out on CO concentrations lower than 250 ppm, the unit
will not change existing calibrating numbers.
• When the CO concentration on the LCD screen is greater than 30 ppm, the
unit will exit calibrating mode to prevent inaccurate calibration.
