simulated CO concentration and the 'speaker' symbol will be displayed on the
LCD screen. Press the TEST button again to return the unit to its normal monitor-
ing mode.
Testing the alarm once a month to sustain effective alarm status is highly recom-
mended.
Alarm Locking
When the alarm is sounding, you can engage the alarm locking state by press-
ing the TEST button. The red and green LEDs will flash simultaneously every 10
seconds and the 'speaker' symbol will disappear. The unit will not respond to any
action during the 2-minute 'locking' period. If the CO concentration exceeds 300
ppm for more than 3 minutes, the alarm will resume. When the CO concentra-
tion falls to 5 ppm or less, the alarm sound will stop. Press the TEST button again
to return the unit to its normal monitoring status.
Alarm Condition
When the unit detects potentially dangerous levels of CO, the alarm will sound,
the LED will flash red and the LCD screen with display the recorded CO concen-
tration in ppm and the 'speaker' symbol. The alarm will continue as long as the CO
concentration is 5 ppm or higher at which point the situation should immediate-
ly be investigated.

Memory Function

The unit may detect dangerous CO levels when no one is at home. When the
alarm has stopped, the highest CO concentration detected will be recorded and
shown on the LCD screen with the 'CO figure' flashing once every 15 seconds. The
unit will continue to sound two intermittent chirps and the red LED and 'speaker'
symbol will be also be flashing.
Low Battery Signal
The red LED will flash and the unit will beep every 40 seconds when the battery
power is low and the batteries need to be replaced. The LCD screen will show a
'low battery' symbol.
