from the device. You will need to apply some
pressure to do this (see figure 2).
•
This will open the catch and the battery compart-
ment cover can be opened (the cover remains at-
tached to the housing).
•
Insert a new 1.5 V LR03/micro/battery into the
battery compartment, making sure that it is the
right way round (see figure 4).
•
Close the battery compartment by swinging the
battery compartment cover back on. Push the
cover towards the centre of the housing (apply-
ing a little pressure) until it latches into place.
Once the battery has been inserted, the key ring remote
control performs a self-test (approx. 2 seconds). After-
wards, initialisation is carried out. The LED test display will
indicate that initialisation is complete by lighting up orange
and green (see sec. „8.4 Error codes and flashing sequenc-
es" on page 36).
Never recharge standard batteries. Do not throw
the batteries into a fire! Do not expose batteries to
excessive heat. Do not short-circuit batteries. Do-
ing so will present a risk of explosion.
Used batteries should not be disposed of with
regular domestic waste! Instead, take them to
your local battery disposal point.
