• Clean the exterior with a soft cloth or slightly damp cloth.
• After use, make sure that all parts are completely dry.
Removing the cutting head
• Turn off the appliance and remove the power adaptor from the mains socket 10)fig. A).
• Remove the guide comb in compliance with the instructions reported in "Using
without the guide comb. "
• Keep the appliance with the switch facing upwards.
• Press the centre part of the head 2 (fig. A) downwards using your thumb until it
opens (fig. E); then extract it from the appliance.
• Take care not to drop the head.
Blade block cleaning
• Remove the head 2 (fig. A), as indicated in the paragraph "Removing the cutting
head. "
• Using the supplied brush 9 (fig. A), remove hair:
– from the internal part of the appliance (fig. F);
– from the ends of the blade (fig. F1);
– from between the fixed blade A and mobile blade B: to lift the blade apply
downward pressure on the cleaning lever C (fig. F2) .
Cutting head assembly
Position the adjustment ring height on 2.0 mm before hooking the
head onto the appliance.
• Make sure that the cutting height adjustment ring is set on 2.0 mm; if not, turn the
ring to the correct position before assembling the cutting head on the appliance
(fig. G).
• Place the special assembling hook into its compartment situated on the appliance.
• Push the head downwards and click the unit into its correct position (fig. G).
Lubrication
To maintain perfect performance of the appliance over time, you are required to clean
the blade regularly (paragraph "Blade block cleaning") and proceed with lubrication.
• Remove the cutting head as indicated in the paragraph "Removing the cutting head. "
• Clean the blade block as indicated in the paragraph "Blade block cleaning".
• Apply two/three drops of lubricating oil 8 (fig. A) (you can also use oil for sewing
machines) in the gap between the fixed blade and the mobile blade (fig. H).
You are advised to lubricate the blade block:
– before and after every intensive-continuous use;
– twice a week for normal use;
– at least once a month when used occasionally.
Failure to lubricate the appliance is considered as "FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH
THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE", therefore, the warranty will be automatically
rendered null and void.
Battery replacement
• Turn off the appliance and remove the power adaptor from the mains socket 10
(fig. A).
• Press the battery at the sides and remove it, pulling it downwards.
• Place the supplied supplementary battery into the relative compartment.
• Push the battery upwards until it is completely inserted (CLICK!)
DISPOSAL
The product packaging is made of recyclable materials. Separate the parts
according to their type and dispose of them in accordance with applicable
laws on the environmental protection.
INFORMATION FOR USERS
This product bears the selective sorting symbol for waste electrical and
electronic equipment (WEEE). This means that this product must be handled
to the local collecting points or given back to retailer when you buy a new
product, in a ratio of one to one pursuant to European Directive 2012/19/
Avoid all risk of electric shock by not cleaning the appliance
with water and do not immerse it in water.
Do not use abrasive solutions or concentrated detergents.
