Troubleshooting
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean
there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you
can correct the malfunction.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock in case of improper repair!
Never try to repair a defective or suspected defective appliance yourself. You can put
your own and future users' lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to
carry out this repair work.

Solutions, tips, explanations
Check the socket with another appliance.
Check the tightness of the mains plug.
Switch the appliance on (see "Switching on"
on page EN-13).
Further cooling not required. When the in-
side temperature rises, the compressor au-
tomatically switches on.
Select a higher setting (see "Setting the
freezing temperature" on page EN-16
and "Setting the cooling temperature" on
page EN-19).
Select a lower setting (see "Setting the freez-
ing temperature" on page EN-16 and "Setting
the cooling temperature" on page EN-19).
Check the door seals (see "Checking and
cleaning door seals" on page EN-21).
Place insulation plate between the applianc-
es or change location.
Freeze a maximum of 15 kg at any one time.
Adjust ambient temperature (see "Intended
use" on page EN-4).
Set the temperature to '–24 °C'. Activate the
'Quick freezing' function (see "Quick freez-
ing" on page EN-16). If the compressor does
not switch on within an hour, please contact
our service centre (see page EN-30).
