Clip-on/Boundary Microphone

Intended Use
The clip-on/boundary microphone is intended to convert acoustic signals (sound
waves) into electrical signals.
The low-level audio output signal may be connected only to suitable microphone in-
puts of audio devices.
Any use other than as described above may lead to damage to the product and may
also be dangerous.
This product complies with the applicable national and European regulations.

T he warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to ob-
serve these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any re-
sulting damage.
W e shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instruc-
tions. In such cases, the warranty will be null and void.
A n exclamation mark indicates important notes in these operating instruc-
tions, which should always be observed.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to the product
are not permitted.
• Operate the microphone via a device with phantom powering (1-10 V/DC) only.
• When connecting the microphone, pay attention to the safety instructions of the
device to which it is to be connected.
• Do not expose the product to high temperatures, strong vibrations, dripping water or
water spray.
• Use the product only in a temperate climate, never in a tropical climate.
• Don't leave packaging materials lying around carelessly; they maybe become a dan-
gerous plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Facilities are to
be observed.
• If in doubt about how to connect the product correctly, or should any questions arise
that are not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical
advisory service or another specialist.
Features
The clip-on/boundary microphone is a high-quality condenser microphone for voice
recording.
With the provided holder, it can be used as a boundary microphone or as a lapel mi-
crophone.
The microphone is equipped with the following features:

Getting Started
B efore using the product, please read the complete operating instructions
thoroughly in order to ensure its proper functioning.
T o avoid distortion or mismatching, which could damage the microphone or
the connected audio device, the microphone may be connected only to sui-
table microphone inputs. To do this, please pay attention to the connection
data in the „Technical data" section.
N ever point the microphone at the speakers in your loudspeakers, since
this may lead to interference, which could damage the loudspeaker and the
connected amplifier.
• Attach the microphone to a clean, smooth and level surface with the self-adhesive
holder, or clip it to your clothing with the built-in lapel clip. Avoid adhering the holder
below an ambient temperature of +15 °C.
• Connect the connection cable to the microphone input of your audio device (e.g.
bodypack or sound card of your computer).
• Turn down the volume completely for the microphone input of the audio device.
• Connect the microphone to the microphone jack of the audio device.
• Please adapt the sensitivity of the microphone input by using the corresponding
input level control for the microphone (see the instructions for the audio device).
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed
of in the household waste!
Dispose of any unserviceable products in accordance with the relevant sta-
tutory regulations.
