dear customer,
in buying these cooking utensils you have made an excellent choice. In order to ensure that you
will be able to enjoy your new acquisition for a long time, it is necessary to follow some simple
instructions.
before first time using
Please inspect the bottom of the cookware and the hob for any remaining dirt, Sticker and une-
venness. Moving the cookware around may cause damage. First clean your new cookware with
hot water and normal washing-up liquid and boil out. Then dry it well.
care instructions
Fundamentally, this high quality material can be cleaned easily with a sponge or washing-up
brush and any commercial detergent soon after the use. With stronger, more resistant soiling we
recommend to soak them for a while. Do not use any sharp or pointy objects for cleaning, even
in case of heavy soiling. Cleaning in dishwasher is possible but can affect the non-stick properties.
basic information
Screwed fittings can become loose over time. These can, however, easily be tightened using a
standard screwdriver. Induction stoves may sometimes produce a buzzing noise during cooking.
This is due to technical reasons and does not indicate a fault of the cookware.
Preheat the cookware at no higher than a medium heat. Empty cookware may reach temperatu-
res of up to 500°C very quickly, particularly on induction hobs. These temperatures far exceed
the recommendations of the BfR (Federal Insititute of Risk Assessment) and may damage the
non-stick coating.
WarninG
Please ensure that the cookware is never overheated (while empty). In addition the liquid should
not be allowed to evaporate completely. However, in the case that the cookware is overheated,
please ventilate the area. According to the recommendations of the BfR, non-stick coatings are
suitable for direct contact with food up to a temperature of 230°C for long periods and 250°C for
short periods. Knobs/handles which are not made of synthetic materials may become hot, always
use oven gloves or similar and never leave small children unattended around hot cookware. Do
not attempt to extinguish burning fat with water. Please be aware that plastic components are
only heat-resistant up to a temperature of 180°C and must not be used in the oven with the grill
function. In rare cases odours may be produced. Should this occur, switch off the heating element
and, if necessary, open the oven door and ventilate the room thoroughly.
Suitable oils and fats
Please note that unsuitable fats and oils will burn if the temperature is too high and leave black
deposits on your cookware, which will be difficult to remove and will adversely affect the non-
stick properties. Butter and margarine contain water, salt and milk protein and therefore burn
quickly. Only good for cooking at medium heat up to 160°C and therefore well-suited for tossing
vegetables etc. Oil, normal fats, clarified butter and pure butterfat (without water and additives)
can be heated to 220°C and are suitable for all fried foods that do not require too high cooking
temperatures. Hardened vegetable fats only begin to burn at 280°C and are therefore especially
suitable for frying at high temperatures of up to 250°C.
Energy-saving tip for cooking:
Use energy efficiently by selecting the hob that matches best the size of the pan. Please always
use the cooking zone that matches the size of the cookware.
