Radio-controlled clock with outdoor and indoor temperature
8.1.1 Setting of the time zone
• In the setting mode you can make the time zone correction.
• The time zone correction is needed for countries where the DCF signal can be received but the time
zone is different from the German time (e.g. +1=one hour later).
• Press the + / 12/24 or – / °C/°F button.
• Confirm the setting with the MODE button.
8.1.2 Day-of-the week language
• In the setting mode you may change the setting of the day-of-the week language: German (GER),
French (FRA), Spanish (ESP), Italian (ITA), Dutch (NET), Danish (DAN), Russian (RU) and English (EN).
8.2 Setting of the alarm
• Press the MODE button in normal mode.
• AL and 7:00 (default) or the last adjusted alarm time appear on the display.
• Press and hold the MODE button.
• The hour digits will be flashing.
• Press the + / 12/24 or – / °C/°F button to adjust the hours.
• Confirm the setting with the MODE button and set the minutes in the same way.
• Press the MODE button again to return to the current time.
• To activate the alarm function, press the ALARM button.
• The alarm symbol appears on the display.
• When the adjusted alarm time is reached, the alarm will ring.
• The alarm symbol will be flashing .
• Press any button and the alarm will stop working.
• If the alarm is not stopped manually, the increasing alarm will automatically turn off after certain
minutes and will be reactivated at the same time.
• When the alarm rings, press the SNOOZE button and the snooze function will be activated.
• Once the snooze function is activated, Zz will be flashing on the display.
• The alarm will be interrupted for 5 minutes.
• The snooze function can be activated up to seven times.
• To turn off the alarm and snooze function press the ALARM button.
• The alarm symbol and the snooze symbol disappear on the display.
8.3 Setting of the temperature unit
• Press the – / °C/°F button to change between °C (Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit) as temperature unit.
8.4 Outdoor temperature alarm
• Press and hold the ALERT button for 3 seconds.
• and 50 °C (default) or the last adjusted upper temperature limit appear on the display.
• Press the + / 12/24 or – / °C/°F button to adjust the upper temperature limit.
• Confirm with the ALERT button.
• and -20°C (default) or the last adjusted lower temperature limit appear on the display.
• Press the + / 12/24 or – / °C/°F button to adjust the desired lower temperature limit.
• Confirm with the ALERT button.
• The alarm is activated. On the display appears .
• Press the ALERT button again to deactivate the alarm function.
• disappears.
• In the case of an alarm the corresponding symbol will be flashing
• Press any button and the alarm will stop working.
9. Positioning and fixing of the radio-controlled clock and the outdoor transmitter
• Choose a shady and dry position for the outdoor transmitter. (Direct sunshine falsifies the measure-
ment and continuous humidity strains the electronic components needlessly).

• Place the radio-controlled clock in the living room with the table stand (fold our). With the suspen-
sions device you can fix it on a wall. Avoid the vicinity of any interfering field like computer monitors
or TV sets and solid metal objects.
• Check the transmission of the signal from the outdoor transmitter to the radio-controlled clock (trans-
mission range of up to 100 m free field). Within ferro-concrete rooms (basements, superstructures),
the received signal is naturally weakened.
• If necessary choose another position for the outdoor transmitter and/or radio-controlled clock.
• If the transmission is successful, you can mount the outdoor transmitter.
10. Care and maintenance
• Clean the instruments with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
• Remove the batteries if you do not use the outdoor transmitter and the radio-controlled clock for a
long period of time.
• Keep the instruments in a dry place.
10.1 Battery replacement
• As soon as the battery symbol appears on the display of the radio-controlled clock beside the outdoor
temperature or in the display of the outdoor transmitter, change the batteries of the outdoor trans-
mitter.
• Open the battery compartment of the outdoor transmitter by extending the stand and pull the lid
down.
• Insert two new batteries 1,5 V AAA. Make sure the polarities are correct.
• Change the batteries when the functions of the radio-controlled clock becomes weak.
• Open the battery compartment of the radio-controlled clock.
• Insert four new batteries 1,5 V AA. Make sure the polarities are correct.
• Please note:
When the batteries are changed, the contact between outdoor transmitter and radio-controlled clock
must be restored – so always insert new batteries into both devices or start a manual transmitter
search.
