4.2 Preventive Maintenance
The below listed actions are performed for normal operation.
If the system will be operated with high workload or in areas with air contam-
ination the actions have to be carried out in shorter time periods.
Cooling circuit
Use a pressure gauge,
check refrigerant pressure
check refrigerant temperatures
After 15 minutes operation, check
sight glass for bubbles
Do a visual examination of pipes and
hoses
Do a visual examination for signs of
leakage of oil and refrigerant
Check the open and close pressure
of the pressure switches
Compressor / compressor clutch
Do a visual examination of the
compressor clutch
Do a visual examination for
condition, tension and alignment of
the V-belt
Clean the compressor and the
compressor clutch
Measure the coil resistance and the
electrical power consumption of the
compressor clutch
