7 Troubleshooting
Only suitably knowledgeable, qualified professional technicians may perform repairs on the machine!
Malfunction
The machine will not start. The voltage supply has not been
The polishing pattern is
uneven.
Insufficient dust extraction The dust bag is full.
Noisy running
(strong vibration)
The machine shuts down
automatically.
Cause
properly connected.
The connecting cable is defective.
Faulty power supply.
The safety switch is defective.
Polishing disk is loose.
Polishing disk is damaged or worn.
The brush ring [10] is blocked or worn.
Imbalance caused by improperly cent­
red polishing disk
The machine is overloaded.
The drive overload protection has trig­
gered.
The connecting cable's cross section is
too small.
Rectification
Connect the connecting cable
(extension cable) with a proper power
socket.
Replace the connecting cable.
Use a different power socket if ne­
cessary.
Replace the safety switch.
Attach polishing disk firmly.
Replace polishing disk.
Replace dust bag
(! Chapter 3.1.1, page 15).
Clean or replace brush ring.
Remove polishing disk and attach it
centrally (! Chapter 4.3, page 17).
— Reset:
a. Wait 2 ... 3 minutes.
b. Put the machine back into
operation
(! Chapter 3.1, page 15).
— If the drive overload protection
trips repeatedly, the load on the
machine needs to be reduced:
a. Reduce the operating
pressure
(! Chapter 3.1.2, page 15).
b. Replace the polishing disk if
necessary
(! Chapter 4.3, page 17).
Check the connecting cable and the
extension cable and replace if ne­
cessary.
