High‐speed floor polishing machine

3 Operation

3.2 Operation
Risk of damage and injury from uncontrolled
movement of the machine!
Before pressing the safety switches, the ma
chine has to be held firmly by the handle of the
guide handle!
High‐voltage electrical current can be fatal! Do
not allow the power line to be run over, crushed
or pulled on!
The power line must not get into the machine's
working area!
Risk of damage due to tensile strain exerted by
the power line!
Operation was properly prepared (! Chapter
3.1, page 15).
1.
Do not press the safety switch [1, Fig. A]!
Hold the machine by the guide handle [4, Fig. A].
The machine cannot be switched on with the
guide handle upright [4, Fig. A].
The floor can now be machined.
Risk from high friction temperature!
The machine must be moved constantly during
operation! If the machine is left standing still
when the drive plate is turning, this can cause
discolouration or burning of the floor.
2.
Press and hold one or both safety switches
[1, Fig. A].
The safety switches must not be prevented from
functioning! You must switch the machine off
when releasing!
3.
The drive is switched on.
To make handling easier, the safety switch can
be locked in the ON position using the lock but
ton [2]. You must not release the handle [3] du
ring operation!

3.3 Ending the operation

Risk of injury from polishing disk still rotating
after the machine is switched off!
Only switch off the machine with the polishing
disk resting on the floor!
The polishing disk can otherwise still rotate idly
(run‐on) for several seconds after being swit
ched off or the safety switch is released.
1.
You may need to briefly press the safety swit
ches [1, Fig. A] to allow the lock button [2] to
click out.
2.
Release both safety switches.
The drive is switched off
3.
Place the guide handle [4, Fig. A] upright and
lock (! Chapter 4.1, page 17).
The machine is switched off
Risk of injury from high voltage!
There is still residual voltage even after the ma
chine has been switched off!
The power supply has to be disconnected to
remove all voltage from the machine.
4.
Pull the power plug [11, Fig. A] from the socket.
5.
Wind the power line up on the guide handle
(! Fig. C).
The hook [12] can be swivelled downwards to
remove the wound cable (! Fig. C).
6.
For space‐saving storage of the machine:
a.
Swivel the guide handle [4] forward over
the machine and lock
(! Chapter 4.1, page 17).
b.
Set the machine upright
(! Fig. B, park position Z).
