INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Summary
This product is intended for use to protect and prevent against risks of falling from above in industry, in construction
work, in rescue and, more generally, for any application of work at a height.
Use PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425
During user movement, the cable [2] winds and unwinds on a reel inside the retracting device [1]. The cable is held
constantly under tension by a re-winder spring. In the case of a fall, a mechanism locks the cable and stops the fall.
absorber [3] intervenes in the event of falling on sharp edges (radius >= 0.5 mm). Each time you use the device,
check the locking function by pulling hard on the cable. Do not release the cable suddenly: guide it back by hand on
cable unwinds and rewinds freely, with no obstruction. The maximum admissible load is 120 kg.
The attachment hole [4] must be connected to a structural anchor point by means of a connector EN 362.
The structural anchor point to which the device is connected must be located above the user and must have a
minimum strength of 15 kN, in compliance with standard EN 795. Never climb above the anchors to avoid creating
slack in the cable (Fig. 1).
If used outdoors, cover the device to protect it from weather.

Vertical use
In this type of use, user movement is vertical (climb and descent).
The swivel connector [4] must be connected to the fall arrest attachment point of a full-body harness EN 361.

must pay particular attention, as protection in the case of a fall may not be complete (
distance below the user (refer to the lifeline user manual).
Horizontal Use (Rfu PPE-R/11.060)
Retractable type fall arrester was tested also for horizontal use and a drop over a Type A edge has been successfully
tested.
A steel edge with a radius of r = 0,5 mm and without burrs was used for the test. Due to this test, the equipment may
roof parapet. However, the following shall be considered when the equipment is used in a horizontal or transverse
arrangement and a risk of a fall from a height over an edge exists:
1. If the risk assessment carried out before the start of the work shows that the edge is very "cutting" and / or "free
of burrs" (such as in case of an unclad roof parapet, a rusty steel girder or a concrete edge)
- relevant measures shall be taken before the start of the work to prevent a drop over the edge or,
- before the start of work, an edge protection shall be mounted or
- the manufacturer shall be contacted.
2. The anchor point may only be situated at the same height as the edge at which a fall might occur or above the
