Cleaning and Decontaminating the 3M Petrifilm
Plate Reader Advanced
1. Disconnect the power cable (1) and the USB cable (2) from the left-hand side
of the base.

2. Lightly spray a disposable towel with 70% Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or a
mild solution of soap and water and gently wipe the outer surfaces of the
instrument. The disposable towel should be modestly moist and not dripping.
Avoid the power and USB cable connection while cleaning the exterior
surfaces.
3. Use another disposable towel to repeat the procedure with DI water (distilled
water or deionized water).
4. Remove PAHF from the 3M Petrifilm Plate Reader Advanced by pressing the
push button which is on left side of the base. Pull the ejected PAHF out of
the device.
