14.2.5 Connection to a dust collection system

The machine must be connected to dust collection system. The system must start up
at the same time as the motor of the band saw starts. For materials with a humidity
<12 %, the air velocity at the dust collector port and in the hoses must be at least 20
m/s (for moist chips with a humidity >12 %, at least 28 m/s). The suction hoses used
must be flame-retardant (DIN4102 B1), permanently antistatic (or grounded on both
sides) and comply with the relevant safety regulations. Requirements for the dust
collection system refer to the technical data.

The adjustment wheel allows the saw blade to be tilted by a
maximum of 45°. Adjust the saw blade to an angle between
90° and 45° to the table. The required angle can be read off
the scale. Release the swivel mechanism by turning the
adjustment wheel (a) to the left. Set the required angle by
turning the adjustment wheel (b) and fix it by turning the
adjustment wheel to the right (a). To avoid any deviation
from the factory settings after transportation, the angle
position settings should be checked as follows before initial
operation:
Working on the machine with the power supply
intact can cause serious injury or death. Before
cleaning, servicing or maintenance work, always
disconnect the machine from the power supply
and prevent it from being switched on again
unintentionally.
Place a fence angle (90°) on the top of the table and press it
against the saw blade. If it is not completely resting against
the saw blade, use the hand wheel to adjust it until it is, then
set the pointer (a) to the 0° position. To make the
adjustment, remove the screw and then fix it again. The
degrees marked on the angle scale are for orientation
purposes only. Precise settings can be achieved by using an
adjustable angle.
ATTENTION: After each angle adjustment, a test is performed to
check of the dimensions is recommended
The mitre gauge can be used with 90° saw blade adjustment to the
table on the right or left of the saw blade in the T-slot provided.
When the saw blade is tilted, only on the right side. To adjust the
angle, loosen the fixing handle and swivel the device to the desired
angle which can be read off the scale. The position can also be
adjusted with the fixing handle released. After adjustment, the
fixing handle must be tightened again to fix the mitre gauge in the
desired position. The settings are to be checked using an angle
gauge or test cut.
