4.2 Initializing & Formatting the SSD Drive in macOS®
Important Note: The following steps will erase any existing data on the hard drive/SSD.
1)
Connect the USB and/or optional Micro-B power cables, and power on the host
computer. Make sure the STATUS LED is lit.
2)
Select Initialize when prompted. If no prompt appears, open Finder > Utilities >
Disk Utility.
3)
Click Erase and provide a Name, File Format, and partition scheme. Select the
exFAT file format to share the drive with a Windows computer.
4)
Click the Eject button on the menu before removing the drive.
