Risks in handling drum dryers

WARNING!
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to fi re and property damage.
Do not use the drum dryer to dry laun-
■
dry items that have been washed us-
ing industrial chemicals.
Clean the lint fi lter regularly.
■
Do not let lint accumulate around the
■
dryer.
Do not close off air vents in the appli-
■
ance housing.
Do not dry any unwashed laundry in
■
the drum dryer.
Laundry items that have been soiled
■
with substances such as cooking oil,
acetone, alcohol, petrol, paraffi n oil,
stain removers, turpentine, waxes or
wax removers should be washed in
hot water with an extra amount of
detergent before being dried in the
drum dryer.
Items such as foam rubber (latex
■
foam rubber), shower caps, water-
proof fabrics, rubberised objects and
clothing, or pillows with shredded
foam rubber, etc. should not be dried
in the drum dryer.
Fabric softeners or other similar prod-
■
ucts should be used as described in
their respective use instructions.
All objects, such as lighters and match-
■
es, should be removed from pockets.
Never turn off the drum dryer before
■
the end of a drying cycle, unless you
are able to quickly remove all laundry
items and spread them out to dissi-
pate the heat.
Safety
Do not place the appliance on carpet-
■
ed fl ooring. Otherwise, it may not be
able to properly ventilate, which can
result in overheating and damage.
The ventilation openings must not be
obstructed by carpet fl ooring.
Danger of explosion!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to fi re and explosion.
Due to the risk of fi re, never use the

drum dryer to dry fabrics or other ob-
jects if
they have been cleaned using in-

dustrial chemicals (e.g. during dry
cleaning)
they consist mostly of foam rub-

ber, rubber or rubber-like materials;
Items such as foam rubber (latex

the drum dryer.

filling may escape and cause a fire.

ance. Such items should fi rst be left
to air and dry.

ance.
