Problem
NUMA Piano does not
turn on.
NUMA Piano does not
send MIDI data.
NUMA Piano can not be
controlled via MIDI.
NUMA Piano just plays /
sends a fixed velocity
value
No sound is heard.
Only one sound is
heard in split or layer
mode.
No sound from the
audio input is heard.
Sustain pedal holds
notes if it is not pressed,
but cuts notes if
pressed.
Adjustments eg of
effect Amount or effect
Mix are not sent by
NUMA Piano or cannot
be recorded with a
sequencer software.
Other MIDI sound
modules do not
automatically tune
themselves to the
NUMA Piano.

Possible cause
No power is supplied.
Defective power
cable. Fuse is blown
inside the NUMA
Piano.
MIDI Module is swit-
ched off.
MIDI data are not
sent on MIDI channel
1 or 2
Fixed Velocity is
selected.
Sound Bank is
switched off.
Volume is set to 0.
Defective connecting
cable / headphone.
A sustain pedal is
connected to Expres-
sion pedal input.
Balance knob is set
to either Upper or
Lower.
Level of Audio In is
set to minimum.
External sound de-
vice is not playing.
Defective cable con-
nection.
The contact of the
sustain pedal in use is
closed at rest.
NUMA Piano is not
set to MIDI channel
16.
The MIDI Input of the
sequencer is not set
either to channel 16
or to "all inputs".
The other sound
module ignores MIDI
SysEx messages.
The MIDI channels
are not identical.
This feature is not
supported by the
other sound module.

Troubleshooting

Solution
Please make sure that
power is available and
switched on. Check
the power cable and
the internal fuse and
replace if needed, with
fuse as specified on
page 65..
Switch MIDI Module
on by pressing On/Off.
Please send MIDI data
only on MIDI channel 1
and/or 2
Select a different velo-
city curve.
Switch Sound Bank on
by pressing On/Off.
Set the Volume to a
higher level.
Change the cable /
headphone.
Unplug the sustain
pedal from expression
pedal in.
Change the Balance
value.
Adjust Level.
Check if the external
sound device sends
audio signal. Change
the connection cable.
Plug in a sustain pedal
where contact is open
at rest.
Set MIDI Module to
MIDI channel 16 and
switch it on.
Set the input of the
sequencer to MIDI
channel 16 or to "all
inputs".
Enable the sound
module to receive and
process MIDI SysEx
messages.
Set the NUMA Piano
and the sound module
to the same MIDI
channel.
