Item-No. 57 52 36
Intended Use
The torch is intended to be used as a mobile light source. A highly luminous 3W Luxeon LED
serves as the light source. The luminosity of the Luxeon LED can be adjusted to 1 of 3 levels.
The product is splash-proof and is suitable for use outdoors. The product should not be placed
in water. The device is designed for battery operation only. The appropriate battery type is list-
ed in the "Technical Data" section. Use of this device in any other way than described above is

Safety Instructions
Please read through the instructions completely, they contain important
information. The warranty will be void for damage arising from non-compli-
ance with these operating instructions. We do not assume any liability for any
consequential damage! We do not assume any liability for material and per-
sonal damage caused by improper use or non-compliance with the safety

Replacing the Batteries
Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries (pay atten-
tion to plus/ + and minus/ –).
Keep them out of the reach of children. Do not leave the batteries lying
around in the open; there is the risk of it being swallowed by children or
domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Make sure that the battery is not short-circuited, opened, taken apart or
thrown into a fire. There is a risk of explosion!
Old or flat batteries can leak chemical liquids that damage the device.
Therefore, if the device is not to be used for a long time (e.g. storage), remove
the batteries.
Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with
the skin. You should therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
Only use a battery of the correct size and the recommended type.
Replace all of the batteries at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries
may lead to battery leakage and thus to damage to the device.
• Unscrew the torch head from the torch.
• Insert two new batteries into the shaft, observing the correct polarity. The correct polarity, pos-

itive/+ and negative/-, is marked in the battery compartment.
• Screw the torch head onto the torch again.
• The batteries are flat when the torch's light fades or the torch no longer lights up and they have

to be replaced as described above.
°
• In the interest of a long battery life only use alkaline types.
• The use of rechargeable NiMH batteries results in a less intense light and a shorter operating
time because of the lower voltage and capacity.
Operation
The luminosity can be set to one of three different levels (100% - 50% -25%). Press the button
on the torch shaft once, to turn on the torch. Continued pressing of the button reduces the lumi-
nosity. Press the button as often as needed to adjust the luminosity accordingly. After the last
luminosity level the torch will be switched off.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Apart from replacing the batteries, the torch is maintenance-free. The surface of the device
should only be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth or a dry brush. Do not use abrasive cleaning
agents or chemical solutions that could damage the housing or impair operation.

harmful substances are marked with the following symbols, to indicate that disposal
in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the relevant heavy metals are:
Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead. (The markings are printed on the
batteries e.g. under the waste symbols on the left-hand side).
You can return used batteries/storage batteries free of charge to any collecting
facility of your local authority, to our stores or to any other store where rechargeable
