Operation, connection
In order to avoid distortions or mismatching, which could damage the microphone or any
audio device connected, the product must only be connected to suitable microphone
inputs. Please refer to the connection values under "Technical data" for more.
Never point the microphone at sound outlets of speakers, as this can cause acoustic
feedback, which then could damage both the speakers and the connected amplifier.
a) Installation
• Place the headset with microphone on your ear and secure it with the ear hook. Align the
microphone to the desired speaking position. Ensure secure fit when positioning the product.
Adjust the distance between the ear hook and microphone by moving the microphone arm
inside the ear hook. You can choose to wear the microphone on the right or left side of your
head as needed.
• If you do not want to place the microphone on your ear, use the clip to attach it to your clothes.
Extend the microphone arm. Attach the clip with its silicone socket to the stainless steal
connector of the microphone arm. Then pull back the microphone arm so far that the silicone
socket of the clip is tightly enclosed and secured. Attach the clip including the microphone to
your clothes.
• You may guide the microphone cable through clothes or passages of bags, etc., in order to
conceal it.
b) Using the microphone
• Switch off the audio device to be connected to the microphone. Adjust the sensitivity of the
audio device by setting the respective input control to zero (refer to the user manual of your
audio device).
• Plug the 3.5 mm jack plug of the microphone cable into the corresponding adapter. Then connect
it to the microphone port on your audio device.
• Switch your audio device with the connected sound sources (speakers) on.
• Check the microphone saying a few words (e.g. counting numerals) and while doing so, slowly
slide the input level control of the audio device upwards until the desired output volume has
been reached.
Air movements such as wind, movements of the microphone or human pronunciation
generate low frequencies within the spectrum of a tone. The attached foam wind guard
counteracts the reception of such sound components.
Maintenance and cleaning
• Besides occasional cleaning, the device is maintenance-free.
• There are no user-serviceable parts inside the product. Therefore never open the product.
• Always disconnect the 3.5 mm jack plug from the connected audio device before cleaning.
• To clean the device, use a soft, anti-static and lint-free cloth. Use a longhaired, soft and clean
brush and a vacuum cleaner to easily remove dust.
• Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaners.
