08 | ORIENTATION OF THE CAMERA/TEST SHOOTING/MOUNTING
08.1 Orientation of the camera/test photo
We recommend placing the camera in a height of about 0,75 to 1,00 m. The camera lens (05) should point where the expected object
will appear.
To verify your camera is hung up in a correct angle, we recommend taking a test photo. Switch the slide control (08) to position
SETUP and hold the camera in desired height and angle.
Press the navigation button (10) ► and then the OK button (11) to trigger a test photo or video.
The picture can be viewed with a Laptop or PC. There are 2 options:
1. Connect the camera directly to computer using an optional USB cord. Plug the USB cord into the Mini USB port (14) of the camera
and connect with USB port at your computer.
2. Remove the memory card from the camera and read out pictures with an external card reader (optional).
Adjust the picture angle so that the expected object will appear in the centre. Repeat adjusting angle and height and take test photo
until you are satisfied.

Pictures and videos will be named continuously, starting with IMG0001.jpg (picture) or IMAG0001.avi (video).
08.2 Mounting the camera
Pull the supplied mounting strap (19) through the eyelets (18) on the backside of the camera. Mount the camera to a tree, pole or any
other suitable object.
Our optional accessories such as the patented DÖRR holding fixture in combination with the DÖRR with Uni-1 Adapter allows fast
and easy mounting of the camera to trees, walls or other objects:

08.3 Secure camera from theft
Pull a U-lock (optionally available) through the Eyelet for U-lock (09) to lock the camera housing.
Use a cable lock (available as accessory) and pull it through the eyelet for cable lock (23) on the backside of the camera to secure it
against theft:
