The individual LEDs flash during the charging process.
The number of permanently lit LEDs indicates the
current charging status. As soon as the device is fully
charged, all LEDs go on.
d. External start operation:
1. Before starting, make sure that at least 3 LEDs of the charge indicator go on. If this is not the case,
the Startbooster must first be charged with one of the included mains chargers.
2. First connect the red pliers to the cleaned and stainless positive terminal of the vehicle battery and
then the black pliers to the cleaned and stainless negative terminal.
3. The Startbooster automatically detects the correct on-board voltage of the vehicle to be started.
4. Start the vehicle.
5. Once the motor is running, both pliers must be removed from the battery within 30 seconds. First
disconnect the black pliers, then the red pliers.
6. Run the engine for some time to charge the vehicle battery.
NB: At low temperatures (from 0°C), the performance of lithiumpolymer batteries is
greatly reduced. The booster should therefore be heated to about 20°C and fully charged before
use at low temperatures.
e. Failed external start operation:
1. Check the correct fit of the two battery pliers. If there is no or insufficient contact between the pliers and
the battery poles, an external start is not possible. Connect the battery clamps according to the instructions
and restart the vehicle.
2. If the starting process still fails, the condition of the vehicle battery should be checked.
3. If the battery is not faulty or defective, the battery voltage may be too low. In this case, press the
"12 V" button on the Startbooster for 12 V batteries and the "24 V" button for 24 V batteries and then start
the vehicle.
4. If the starting process fails again, the troubleshooting should be continued on the vehicle itself and
no further starting process may be undertaken.
NB: Never start the unit with the voltage set incorrectly. This would create a risk
of injury to the user and damage to the start-booster and vehicle.
