SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 Safety instructions for
lawnmowers

This appliance can be used by
children of 8 years and older
and by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or those lacking
experience and knowledge, if
they are supervised or have
been instructed with regard to
the safe use of the appliance
and the ensuing risks.
Children must not be allowed
to play with the appliance.
Cleaning and maintenance
must not be carried out by
children without supervision.

People with very strong and
complex restrictions may
have needs that exceed the
instructions described here.
3.2 Personal protective
equipment

Wear clothing and protective
equipment in accordance with
the regulations in order to
avoid injury to the head and

limbs as well as to avoid
hearing impairment.

The clothing must be appro-
priate (tightly fitting) and must
not restrict movements. If you
have long hair, it is essential
to wear a hair net. Never
wear loose items of clothing
or accessories that be pulled
into the appliance, e.g.
scarves, loose-fitting shirts,
long neck chains.

Long trousers and sturdy
shoes

3.3 Safety in the workplace
■
Before work, check the area of
grass on which the appliance
is to be used and remove all
objects that could be picked
up and flung out by the
appliance, e.g. branches,
pieces of glass and metal,
stones.
■
Work only in daylight or under
very bright artificial light.
