5. Care and user instructions for BLANCO ceramic sinks
with PuraPlus
BLANCO ceramic sinks show themselves from their best side when their special
material and surface qualities are put to the test in everyday kitchen life: washing
up, cutting, preparing – even after many years, acids will not affect the quality of
the glaze. BLANCO ceramic sinks owe their special resistance to the company's
expertise gained over decades in the manufacture of sinks and worktops. We have
improved the already excellent material ceramic – with the simple-quick-clean finish
PuraPlus
®
.
No scrubbing, rubbing or scratching; the pearl effect of the new finish sets new
standards for ease of cleaning and hygiene.
Please observe the following. You will then have a significant influence on the suit-
ability for use and the appearance of the sink and the PuraPlus
only accept responsibility for damage that is proven to be the result of a fault in the
product.
•
Warm water with a little washing-up liquid is all that is required for cleaning.
•
Only use soft, non-abrasive sponges and cloths.
•
If you would like to use a cleaner, please only use mild vinegar or all-purpose
household cleaners (i.e. Froggy multi-surface cleaner, Cif all-purpose cleaner etc.)
diluted in a little water.
•
Because the ceramic surface is harder than metal, it is possible that metal
(i.e. the bottom of saucepans) may rub off onto it. Any metal residue (dark
stripes) should also only be removed with a mild cleaner.

Please note that aggressive and abrasive cleaners (e.g. cleaning liquids and
powders, drain cleaners, cleaners for tap fittings, glass ceramic, hobs and steel
cleaners) may destroy the PuraPlus® properties and scratch the glaze. We
therefore advise that either you do not use these products at all, or you make
sure they do not come into contact with the ceramic.
•
Do not pull or push heavy or sharp-edged objects over the ceramic surface, and
do not use ceramic knives on it. Either may cause scratches and/or damage the
PuraPlus™ properties.
•
If failing to observe these care and user instructions results in impairment of the
PuraPlus
®
properties, our technical customer service department will be able to
supply you with a product to restore the finish.
•
Under unfavourable conditions, objects falling into the sink may damage it.
