The Shares screen allows you to manage your shares. Each share will
show up as a unique drive letter in Windows or a volume in Mac OS X.
You can create a maximum of 32 shares on your Drobo FS. In order to
manage the shares on your Drobo FS, you should first set up the
Administration username and password.
To create a new share:
1. In the Share Name panel, click Add.
2. Provide a unique name for the new share (32 characters
maximum).
3. Click OK.
4. Highlight (click) the new share name and select the user(s) you
want to have access to the new share. The Users pane will list
all users already setup on the Drobo FS. Highlight the user and
click Add in the "Users who can use this share" pane.
5. If you want to add a new user, in the Users panel, click Add and
fill in the username and password. Note that usernames must
be unique and can include letters, numbers, dots (.) and
underscores (_). Also, both the username and password are
case-sensitive.
