5 Setting into Operation

WARNING Never look directly into the light
1) To switch on, connect the mains cable supplied
to the mains jack (9) and the plug to a socket
(230 V~ / 50 Hz). The display shows the last
menu adjustment for 10 seconds.
Exception: If the parameter adjustment
last, the display changes to the parameter adjustment
after switching-on (
2) To switch off the unit, disconnect the mains
plug from the socket.
For a more convenient operation, it is recom-
mended to connect the unit to a socket which can
be switched on and off via a light switch.
Caution: Do not connect the unit to the mains volt-
age via a dimmer!

5.1 Operation

The adjustments of the unit are made via a system
menu which can be operated by means of the but-
tons (4) and the display (5). The 4-digit display is
activated by pressing any button and shows the
last menu adjustment. The indication will be extin-
guished 10 seconds after the last button has been
pressed.
The buttons have the following functions:
– button MENU to return to the previous menu level
– button ENTER to go to the next menu function
– buttons UP and DOWN to select between seve-
ral menu options
The menu structure is shown on page 10.
6 Operation without Controller

6.1 Automatic mode

For an automatic light show adjust the unit as fol-
lows:
1) Press the button MENU so many times until the
main menu is reached.
2) Select the option

6.2 Music control
For music-controlled run of the light show three
music modes, Sound 1 to Sound 3, are available:

3) Press the button ENTER: The last music mode
adjusted is activated and displayed. Select the
desired mode from the three modes with the but-
ton UP or DOWN.
4) As for the automatic mode, the menu offers a
parameter adjustment for music control. How-
ever, it has no function for Sound 1 and Sound 2.
For Sound 3, only the change of the flash fre-
quency ( ) and the change of the running speed
( ) have an effect. To make the adjustments,
see chapter 6.1, step 4.
5) Turn up the control SENSITIVITY (7) for the sen-
sitivity of the microphone MIC (6) clockwise until
the light effect unit responds to the music as
desired. When changing the volume at the
music system, the microphone sensitivity must
be adapted accordingly.
If the music control should not function in an
optimum way in spite of the sensitivity control
completely turned up, increase the volume or
reduce the distance between sound source and
light effect unit.
