Filling of boiler
Check whether the taps of the water mains and of the softener are
open.
The filling of the boiler is automatic when the main switch 15 is
turned on position 1 or 2 .
Place only coffee cups, cups and glasses to be used in conjunction
with the coffee machine on the cup-warming plate.
Ensure that the coffee cups are completely drained before placing
them on the cup-warming plate.

“Do not light the gas when the boiler is under
pressure”.
Before switching on the machine, check that:
- The main electric power switch is on.
- The water tap is open.
- The gas tap is open.
Press and rotate the knob of tap (19) towards the left to position B,
and keep pressed for about 30 seconds. Check that window (21) is
open and after a few seconds release knob (19).
Wait until the initial heating phase has been completed, i.e. when the
required operating pressure (approx. 1.2 bar) is indicated on the
manometer (4).
At the end of the working day, switch off the machine by rotating the
general switch (14) to the 0 position and turn of the gas tap (19)
turning it to the “0” position.
Put a sufficient number of cups on the cup-warmer grid.
In order not to alter the thermic balance of the machine, do not put
any cloth on the cup-warmer.
While the machines is heating up, hook the filterholders to the groups.
When the machine has reached the prestabilised working pressure
and the needle of the manometre is in the B sector, turn a few times
the knobs 3 to bring the group faster to the right temperature.
During the heating phase of the machine it is quite normal that some
steam escapes from the vacuum release valve.
PLEASE NOTE: If the needle of the manometer is in the A

field, the temeprature of the water will not
be high enough to render a good cup of coffee;
on the other hand, if the needle is in the C
sector, the temperature may be too high.

Setting at work

Electric switching on
Turn main switch 15 to position 1 (in case of gas heating) or to
position
2 (incase of mixed gas/electric heating or of electric heating only). If
the level islower than the preset one, the automatic water level will
be switched on.
Cup-Warmer
No other objects shall be placed on the cup-warming plate.
Press the button (16) and check to see that the light turns on.
