4 Maintenance

3.4 Ending the operation
Risk of injury from high voltage!
There is still residual voltage even after the ma
chine has been switched off. In order to switch
the machine free of voltage, the power plug
[13, Fig. C] has to be disconnected from the
mains!
1.
Switch off drive motor [10, Fig. A].
2.
Wait until the milling roll stop.
The operation is ended.
4 Maintenance
Follow the safety instructions in Chapter 2.
Before starting cleaning or maintenance work:
End operation (! Chapter 3.4 ‐ page 17)!
Let machine cool down!
When working on the machine (set‐up, mainte
nance, service, repair, cleaning, etc.), the power
supply of the machine has to be disconnected
from the mains
(disconnect power plug)!
The operating and maintenance personnel resp
onsible for the machine must ensure that no one
can enter the machine's danger zone during
operation or maintenance work.
Maintenance work may only be performed by
trained specialists! They must be familiar with
the dangers associated with such work, protect
themselves and avoid danger!
The machine needs to be secured against tip
ping during maintenance work!
If necessary, make use of braces.
Keep in mind the weight of the machine and the
machine parts! Secure dismantled parts against
falling.
After cleaning and maintenance work, check the
safety equipment for completeness and functio
nality.
4.1 Daily maintenance
or after every 10 hours of operation
Cleaning the machine:
F
Do not use compressed air, high‐pressure
cleaners or solvents to clean the machine!
a.
Clean the machine and tools dry with a
cloth or suitable agents.
The manufacturer recommends employing
dust extraction with an appropriate filter.
b.
Restart the machine if necessary
(! Chapter 3.1 ‐ page 16).
Check milling discs, multi‐disc rods and spacers
F
and replace if necessary.
4.2 Weekly maintenance
or after every 50 hours of operation
Check milling rotor / re‐equip / exchange.
F
Clean the connection to the dust extrac
F
tion [12, Fig. D] and chassis [9, Fig. D] from
milling residues.
Lubricating the machine:
F
Milling rotor and milling discs should not be
lubricated!
a.
Check greased parts for proper function.
Check / Tighten / Replace the mill belt.
F

4.3 Servicing the milling rotor

Risk of injury from sharp edges!
A sharp burr can form on the milling discs during
the milling process.
Wear safety gloves!
Risk of injury from heavy machine parts! Do not
reach under the milling rotor when pulling out
the milling rotor!
The operation was ended
(! Chapter 3.4 ‐ page 17).
1.
Pull milling discs [15, Fig. E] and spacers [16,
Fig. E] from the multi‐disc rods, clean them and
