Turbo operation (3)
This is for switching to maximum speed for a short time. Press
at short intervals for pulsed mode operation.
CAUTION:
Do not use this function for more than one minute!

Initial Operation

Preparation
Take out all the parts carefully out of the packing.
Please be extremely careful when removing the foil from the
blade of the hand mixer!
Clean the device before using it for the fi rst time as de-
scribed in „Cleaning".
Electrical connection
Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is the
same as that of the machine. You can fi nd this information on
the nameplate.
How to use the Kneader hooks/beater
1. Turn the power level selector switch (2) to „0" and ensure that
the mixer has been disconnected from the mains.
2. Press the end of the kneader hooks/beater into the cor-
responding mixer openings until the hooks click into place.
While pressing, turn slightly in order to facilitate the whole
operation.
NOTE:
the kneading hook with the curved washer on the shaft
can only be inserted on the left-hand side of the mixer
when viewed from the bottom
3. Connect the device to a duly installed 230 V/50 Hz protec-
tive contact socket.
4. The handmixer can be used at various speeds set with the
speed regulator (2).
5. In order to release the kneading hook/whisk turn the power
level selector switch to „0" and ensure that the mixer has
been disconnected from the mains.
6. Press the button (1) to release the kneading hook/whisk.
Remove the device by turning it slightly.
Using the Hand Blender
1. Pull the tab on the rear of the device upwards and insert the
hand blender. Please ensure when inserting the blender
that the arrows on the device and on the blender are in line
with one another. Tighten the hand blender in a clockwise
direction. The arrow on the hand blender must be pointing
upwards.
2. Connect the device to a duly installed 230 V/50 Hz protec-
tive contact socket.
3. Immerse the hand blender up to a maximum of ¾ deep into
a fi lled mixing bowl.
4. The handmixer can be used at various speeds set with the
speed regulator (2).

5. When you would like to stop mixing, turn the power level
selector switch to „0" and unplug the device from the mains.
6. In order to release the hand blender from the motor housing,
turn it in an anticlockwise direction and then pull it carefully
off.

WARNING:
Always remove the plug before cleaning!
Under no circumstances should you immerse the device
in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result
in an electric shock or fi re.
CAUTION:
Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
Only a damp cloth should be used for cleaning the outside
of the machine.
Clean the equipment in the usual way in soapy water.
