Operating Instruction
Testing unit, towbar socket

1. Area of application

The trailer testing unit can be used to check
the cables and lighting of a 24 Volt lorry trail-
er. Each light function of the trailer can be
checked by turning the selector switch. E.g.
indicators, stop lights, reversing lights.
The trailer testing unit can be used
for the following plugs:
15-pol./24 Volt, ISO 12098 (ADR/GGVS)
13-pol./24 Volt
7-pol./24 Volt, N-type, ISO 1185
7-pol./24 Volt, S-type, ISO 3731
Components included
Power supply:
IMPoRTANT
The testing unit is only designed for
lights with max. 21 Watt. The fuse is
triggered in the event of overloading.

2. Safety instructions

CAuTIoN
If power is consumed via the testing
unit through the trailer, it is important
to ensure that the power pack is not
overloaded. This means that all testing
processes should be carried out for
as short a time as possible and no
continuous load should be placed on
the testing unit or power pack.

3. Operation

95980996 1. Connect the power supply to the trailer
testing unit using the supplied power
pack. Insert the power pack in the socket at
the front. Correct connection is signalled
by the LED (power) lighting up on the test-
ing unit.
2. Now insert the plug of the trailer to be
tested in the correct socket of the trailer
testing unit. Note the relevant labels of the
sockets! Only insert one plug in the test-
ing unit!
3. The light functions of the trailer can now
be tested by turning the selector switch.
